La Casetta Italian Kitchen has recently created a special menu for a fabulous 50th birthday party, and we couldn't wait to share the highlights with you. Julia had the most beautifully home and kitchen and it was such a privilege to be invited to cook for her and fabulous friends.
Freshly shucked oysters that flew in from Tasmania were the star of the show. They were shucked on site and served with finger lime, Yarra Valley Caviar and chardonnay vinegar creating a refreshing flavour that you won't forget anytime soon.

Next up were the fresh Kingfish mini tacos, which were packed with flavour and had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy and included coriander, fresh avocado, cucumber, tomato and lime and lime, which perfectly complemented the stunning fresh fish.
The confit duck tartlets with pomegranate were a decadent treat, with tender duck meat and a tangy pomegranate reduction that added just the right amount of sweetness. The truffle and mushroom vol au vents were rich and buttery, and the truffle flavour really shone through.
The succulent chicken skewers with tzatziki were the perfect way to round out the event. The chicken was marinated in a blend of spices, and the tzatziki sauce was the perfect accompaniment, adding a refreshing touch to the dish.
Before we even got to the main event, we started with a premium grazing station featuring some fabulous Italian meats and cheese, and even vegan options. This was the perfect way to whet our appetites and get everyone in the mood for a fantastic party.
