70th Birthday in Style…….

Celebrating a special 70th birthday is always a momentous occasion. And what better way to do it than with great food and loved ones? That's precisely what we did for Gerdy's 70th Birthday and it was an unforgettable experience.

We served up our premium menu featuring four courses that were sure to delight everyone's taste buds. To start, we served up crostini with sweet figs and pepper pecorino cheese, which was a perfect blend of sweetness and sharpness. Kingfish carpaccio with green chilli, red onion, and cucumber salsa was another popular starter option that was both gluten-free and refreshing.

For those who preferred meat, we had grilled chicken skewers with salsa verde and garlic dip, which was a hit among our guests. And of course, we couldn't forget about classic calamari fritti with tartar sauce, a crowd-pleaser that never goes out of style.

The main course featured an array of hand-stretched pizzas, including pork and fennel, truffle mushroom, chicken, and pesto, and smoked salmon. Each pizza was unique in its own way, with different toppings and flavours to satisfy everyone's palate.

For those who preferred pasta and mains, we had slow-cooked beef ragu with rigatoni, which was hearty and comforting. Roasted pumpkin and spinach lasagne was another delicious option that was perfect for vegetarians. And for those who wanted something a little more indulgent, we had porchetta stuffed with fennel and orange zest, served with a lentil salad.

The food was a hit, and our hosts didn't have to lift a finger. We served food for three hours while everyone enjoyed the Aperol & Limoncello spritz bar we set up alongside prosecco and Peronis. The atmosphere was lively and celebratory, with everyone mingling and catching up. Special thanks to our photographer of choice, Kylie Williams Photography, for coming and taking some snaps on the day.

Overall, it was a wonderful celebration, and the food was a huge part of what made it so memorable. With a menu that catered to everyone's taste buds and preferences, it was a meal that will be remembered for years to come and such a thrill to fire up the truck and serve such an extensive menu.
